Language and Communication Coaching Competencies

We are delighted to offer a new programme for those already holding or planning to hold ICF certification. This coach training programme has been accredited by ICF.

Our course, Language and Communication Coaching Competencies – Levels A & B

Consisting of 2 parts, is 28 hrs altogether, with additional work to be completed afterwards.

The certificate will be provided upon completion of Level B requirements.

Our course will provide trainees with 28 CCEUs altogether (23 CC and 5 RDs).

Continuing Coach Education (CCE) is designed for education organizations and institutions seeking accreditation from the International Coaching Federation (ICF). It serves as supplementary and ongoing education for individuals pursuing new learning, professional development, or renewing their ICF Credential. It does NOT replace ICF Level 1 or 2 training.

CCE units are earned upon completion and are categorized into two types:

All hours in the programme are Synchronous Learning (SL), with an additional written assignment at the end.

Core Competencies: Enhances or expands upon ICF Core Competencies.

Resource Development: Focuses on skills contributing to professional growth, such as personal development, coaching tools, business development, or other relevant areas outside ICF Core Competencies.

All communication and instruction is in English.

Timeline: 4x3.5hrs (live) webinar training, 2 weeks for each level, twice weekly.

Join us for two full-day live online sessions, held twice a week for two weeks. The program starts on October 4th, 2024. The 2x2 days are from 9 AM to 5:30 PM Fridays and Saturdays (Oct 4-5 & Oct. 18-19th).

Level A: 14hrs, Level B 14 hrs.

    Course learning objectives

    Understand the boundaries of coaching

    Trainees will be able to understand the boundaries of coaching and identify the role of the coach in various settings, particularly applicable in the workplace, in education.

    Continuous learning mindset

    They will build awareness around the continuous learning mindset through reflective practice and observation.

    Coaching standards and ethics

    They will deepen their knowledge of coaching standards and ethics, as well as the practical aspects of the coaching process, tools and techniques.

    Deeper awareness

    Outcomes will include learning how to provide and receive non-judgmental feedback, work with presence, verbal and non-verbal cues and active listening. All participating will acknowledge and adapt to clients’ different approaches to learning with a deeper awareness.

    Course Overview: Explore foundational language coaching competencies in Level A. Led by experienced trainers, this program offers a comprehensive review of coaching principles, emphasizing ICF core competencies and practical communication skills.

    Course Highlights: 

    Key competencies: Cultivating Trust and Safety & Evoking Awareness Maintaining Presence & Listening Actively

    • Coaching foundations: understand coaching basics.
    •  ICF Core Competencies: apply ICF core competencies.
    • Language coaching definition: learn learner-led language coaching. 
    • Communication with a coaching mindset: improve communication with trust and transparency.

    Practical Communication Aspects:

    • Effective communication tools: apply workplace communication skills. 
    • Real-world application: use language tools in diverse business settings. 
    • Course materials overview: cover target language proficiency and workplace skills.

    Language and Communication Coaching Competencies - Level B

    Course Overview: Dive into advanced coaching competencies in Level B, a comprehensive 4-module program spanning 3.5 hours each. This ICF CCE Training Programme explores communication nuances through understanding trust, transparency, and awareness, and utilising successful coaching strategies for learning processes.

    Course Highlights:

    Key competencies: Maintaining Presence, Listening Actively & Evoking Awareness

    • Coaching definitions revisited: clarify language coaching and introduce communication coaching.
    • Core Competencies review: refresh understanding of ICF Core Competencies.
    • Communication in Coaching and Training: Explore communication dynamics in coaching, training, mentoring, and consulting.
    • Niches and 4 activity scopes: understand client learning approaches and successful strategies.
    • Peer coaching and reflection activities: engage in practical peer coaching sessions.
    • Transformation reflections: share transformative experiences.
    • Gains and fields of knowledge: reflect on valuable knowledge added to your journey.
    • Presence in coaching: explore various forms of presence.
    • Levels of listening: understand five approaches to listening.
    • Powerful questioning: develop the skill of asking powerful questions.

    Trainees will be expected to write a 3-page written assignment to be eligible for receiving the certificate of completion.
